CITTA' D'ORIENTE

Ho dipinto un paesaggio ispirato ad un' immaginaria città orientale formata da edifici dalle architetture molto diverse tra loro e liberamente reinterpretate; le pagode di Kathmandu si ergono accanto a templi indiani e a palazzi tailandesi.

Il cielo rosato contrasta con l'acqua viola del mare.

E' come se la città si mostrasse per la prima volta ad un viaggiatore che arriva dal mare quando il sole, appena sorto, inizia la sua ascesa.
Il quadro è realizzato con colori acrilici su tela; formato 70x50 cm.

CITY OF THE EAST

I imagined a landscape: a city formed by several buildings in oriental style. The strange thing is that there are pagodas of Kathmandu next to Indian and Thai palaces and their architecture is completely reinterpreted.

The sky is pink, almost lilac, and the sea is violet. I imagined: this is the way a traveler, coming from the sea at dawn, might see this strange city for the first time.
