MUSEO DEI CAMPIONISSIMI

Sabato 1° ottobre si è svolta l'inaugurazione di tre mostre collettive al Museo dei Campionissimi di Novi Ligure.

Il Museo è molto interessante sia per i modelli di biciclette storiche che sono esposti, sia per la sapiente ristrutturazione che ha trasformato in funzionale spazio espositivo un fabbricato industriale in disuso.

Il Museo dei Campionissimi è dedicato ai più grandi ciclisti quali ad esempio Fausto Coppi e Costante Girardengo.

Oltre alla galleria centrale con l'esposizione delle biciclette e i documenti storici, il Museo dispone anche di ampi e ben organizzati spazi espositivi dedicati a mostre temporanee. Proprio in queste sale  sono state ospitate le tre mostre collettive di pittura:

Ho partecipato a due collettive e in particolare a MicroMacro con "Alba nel Deserto" e a Carnet di Viaggio con "Senglea" e "Il Castello".

THE GREAT CHAMPIONS MUSEUM

Saturday 1 October there was the "vernissage" of three group exhibitions: ARTOUR, MICRO MACRO and CARNET DI VIAGGIO at the Museo dei Campionissimi (The Great Champions Museum) in Novi Ligure.

This Museum originates from the skillful renovation of a disused industrial building and shows many models of bycicle. It's a tribute to the bycicle history and to the careers of great cyclists like Fausto Coppi and Costante Girardengo.

Temporary exhibitions take place in this Museum, that provides well organized space for this purpose.

There are three paintings of mine in the exhibitions: "Dawn in the Desert" , "Senglea" and "The Castle".

MANIFESTAZIONE "PROPONENDO"

Dal 19 al 22 agosto, si terrà a Forte dei Marmi la seconda edizione di "Proponendo", nuove proposte per l'arte contemporanea.

Parteciperò a due mostre collettive che si terranno nell'ambito di questa manifestazione:
MicroMacroMostra
Carnet di Viaggio.

MicroMacroMostra   ha come tema   "Sole e Sabbia"  e  comprenderà  quadri  realizzati con tecniche miste su tele 30 x 30 che andranno a comporre una grande opera cromatica.

Per sviluppare questo tema non ho pensato ad una spiaggia, ma al deserto.

Il quadro si intitola "Alba nel Deserto" e la tecnica è l'acrilico.

Per Carnet di Viaggio, invece, ho voluto rappresentare Senglea, la bellissima città che si erge di fronte a La Valletta. Il quadro è in acrilico su tela, con elementi in rilievo, e le dimensioni sono cm 40 x 40.

CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBITION "PROPONENDO".

The Contemporary Art Exhibition/Fair "Proponendo" takes place at Forte dei Marmi (Italy) August 19 to 22.

My paintings are in two collective exhibitions:

MicroMacroMostra

Carnet di Viaggio

The theme of MicroMacroMostra is "Sun and Sand" and there will be several small paintings (dim. cm 30 x 30) by various artists. The paintings will be put together to form a large composition.

"Sun and Sand" made me think about desert and for this reason my picture is "Dawn in the Desert" (cm 30 x 30 acrylic).

The theme of "Carnet di Viaggio" is Travel. My painting shows "Senglea", the beautiful city near La Valletta (dim. cm 40 x 40 acrylic).
